Taco Lubrication for High Frequency Spindles

Micron-Lub is the optimum device to lubricate and refrigerate all sort of high frequency spindles.

This system feeds fresh and clean oil mist continuously, this means that there is not fluctuations of oil when arrives at the spindle, so this way we improve the oil consumption, we can assure that the spindle is always receiving oil and not in an intermittent way and we maintain the spindle temperature about 3ºC less that the other systems.
This value can be considered as not important, but it is really important indeed because as lower is this temperature we will have less differences between contractions and/or dilations and then the machining processes will be more accurate and this detail will favor the quality of the machine.
As a result to work with our Micron-Lub system we will get best and greater spindle longevity and we will optimize our oil consumptions and we will also improve our products with a highest quality and precision.

Taco unit type MC9 to lubricate spindles

Compressed air enters inside the unit and finds two paths, the first drives directly to the outlet to allow a good flow and pressure for the lubrication purpose, the second path which has a smaller hole produces a venturi effect and blows away the mist towards the first path.

A pump delivers the drops inside the venturi line, this effect atomizes the drop in particles, all the particles smaller than 2 micron goes into the outlet the bigger return to the venturi path until they reach this size. When the mist arrives at the spindle a nozzle valve spray it onto the spindle bearings.

Taco unit type MCD to lubricate spindles

There are three different series: MCB, MC9 and MCD. MC9 and MCD are different regarding the pumping adjustment and the drop size. MCB has two different lubrication systems in the same unit, one is for spindle lubrication purposes by oil mist but there is a second pump to lubricate all different parts of the machines with a volumetric lubrication system.
